YO! Fest – 2nd Preparatory Meeting

Over the last weekend, youth organizations from all over Europe gathered in Strasbourg, in the European Youth Centre, to discuss and finish the preparations for the YO! Fest 2016, inserted in the European Youth Event.
YO! Fest is a political youth festival organised by the European Youth Forum, inserted in the European Youth Event (EYE) organized by the European Parliament, aiming at unleashing young peoples creativity by combining politics, culture, education and fun in a multicultural festival atmosphere, representing the perfect opportunity to gather the points of view and opinions of European youth and to make it reach the Members of the European Parliament.
This was the 2nd Preparatory Meeting for the Event (1st one happened in October in Brussels), where all partner organizations in charge of activities during the YO! Fest discussed in detail how the event will go.
IFMSA will have a delegation of 22 people in the event, which will naturally focus on the Mental Health and Well Being Hub, organizing activities related to healthy lifestyles, migrants, sexual education or mental health, in an effort to raise awareness about these topics on the participants, but also on the Members of the European Parliament.
During the 20-21 May, the city of Strasbourg is expecting more than 7.000 young people from all parts of Europe to gather and discuss the topics that affect our day-to-day life, from youth participation to accessibility, or from health and well-being to war and peace.
These topics will be discussed inside the European Parliament or outside in the YO! Fest Village, through workshops, lectures, debates, flash mobs, and much more.
Stay tuned for more information about the event and about IFMSA Delegation. You will be able to support or follow our activities online!
