Problem statement:

Data from our Health Ministry in 2020 show that the increase of HIV and AIDS cases found in Indonesia is decreased due to a decrease of testing. The governments are also preparing a program on PrEP in Indonesia. Based on our primary data to 171 medical students it is shown that most of them have adequate knowledge about HIV/AIDS issues but still need to improve on applying it to a daily basis scenario as future doctors.

Objectives:

The goal of this campaign is to increase society, especially the social media user, the key population and PLHIV about the awareness and knowledge on testing and therapy development studies and regulation in Indonesia through a series of online campaigns and education also social media volunteering in December 2021. We tried to promote PrEP and HIV testing, especially the self testing kit. We also raised the PLHIV perspective about HIV stigmatisation.

Indicators of Success:

-Educating 100 social media users through this campaign

 -Minimum 12 publication on our instagram is published

 -Got a minimum 3000 impressions through instagram and 300 impression through twitter

 -Conduct a social media volunteering for a weeks by 100 volunteers

 -Conducting a crowdfunding with a minimum Rp 10.000.000 

 -Conducting a pre campaign assessment to a minimum 100 respondent and publish it to our website

 -Collaborate with minimum 5 external partners

 -Collaborate with minimum 1 IFMSA NMO

Methodology:

This campaign started by conducting a pre campaign assessment to 171 medical students about their knowledge and attitude about HIV/AIDS and PLHIV. 

 The campaign continued by social media volunteering with 112 registrants and they are asked to make a content on their instagram reacting to a case on stigmatisation on PLHIV. It then continued by a WhatsApp broadcast series for three days and educating their closest relatives with educational posters. 

 The peak event is a Movie Screening and Public Discussion. We screened a short movie from UNAIDS Indonesia and continued by discussing HIV testing and therapy from two perspectives which are IFMSA Thailand and Health Ministry of Indonesia.

 We also conducted a crowdfunding for two NGO focusing on children living with HIV/AIDS through kitabisa.com and collected Rp14.538.087. 

 We publish several publications such as video focusing on PLHIV perspective about stigmatisation, , infographics about HIV self test kit, and testing place mapping.
