Name of the activity: Stik tik antibiotics
Country/NMO: Morocco (IFMSA-Morocco)
Program: Communicable Diseases
Contact information: [email protected]
Type of the activity: Campaign
Focus area:
Reduce incidence of Antimicrobial Resistance
Problem statement:
antimicrobial resistance is a big threat to our health universally. One of the main reason causing it is people using antibiotics randomly without any control or medical prescription. This is considered a normal thing in our country, and people are not aware of the danger of it.
Target groups and beneficiaries:
General population
Objectives and indicators of success:
Raise awareness of people about the danger of misuse of antibiotics
Indicator: number of people seing our video
Methodology:
We made a video describing the story of a man that used antibiotics randomly, it starts with his death scene, then a flashback of him getting out of the doctor for his sore throat, being angry because the doctor gae him no treatment, then he uses antibioyics randomly, then he gets infected by a multiresistant bacteria that doctors were unable to treat, and it ends with a message to the good use of antibiotics.
The video was filmed by us medical sudents
We also made posters telling people to consult their doctors instead of just consuing antibiotics by themselves, and posted them in different doctors offices and places.
Plans for evaluation:
To evaluate the success of our work, we are going to see the nulber of views of the video, the nulber of shares and the nulber of social medias posting it
Also we are goig to see the nullber of posters and paces that theyare posted in
