General description:

THis project deals with spreading awareness about HPV, the most widespread STD, which causes cervical cancer

Problem statement:

In this activity, we would like to warn people such as normal working class, teachers, youth and medics about another STI, which is Human Papilloma Virus. The reason why we chose this, is that the majority people never heard of it, even though 8 out of 10 sexually active individuals have encountered HPV. The problem starts with mother who is not properly vaccinated and can transmit the virus onto the child. We try to raise awareness about the conditions which the virus causes.

Objectives:

– raise awareness by using social media, cinemas and face to face meetings in long term

– go to 20 schools per semester to talk with parents about vaccination themselves and their children

– arrange big exhibit in a public place

– be active on social platforms such as instagram

Indicators of Success:

– arrange meetings with doctors for general public and medics

– have a commercial in the local cinema (1/2022)

– exhibition called “”příběhem ku prevenci”” in january 2023 in one of the biggest squares in Brno, CZ (in lose translation “”with stories to prevention”

Methodology:

Since January 2021 when we started this project in Brno , we have never thought that the impact on human lives with our work would be this big. We arranged a lot of meetings, we educate people with and within healthcare. We made a pact with one hospital in Brno to collaborate with us on the prevention nad vaccination. Now, this project is finally national in other faculties and since 2021 we have reached more than 1 milion people. 

Plans for evaluation:

warn about the virus, cancer and the the options for treatment. Of course we cannot miss out the problematics of safe sexual life and vaccination. Our goal is to increase vaccination status and availability of vaccination in Czech republic. Education about HPV for general population in campaigns, on social media and in schools
