General description:

In celebrating World AIDS Day, SCORA CIMSA UNAIR held a project called RHAPSODY. Where in this activity, there are HIV / AIDS education, HIV prevention and protection, and HIV testing. These things are implemented by organizing air and ground campaigns, providing education and counseling to the community, as well as holding free VCTs at Kedungdoro public health center which are very helpful to know their health status related to HIV / AIDS.

Problem statement:

HIV / AIDS is a condition of decreased immunity which results in the body is becoming more susceptible to various other infectious diseases. Based on the United Nations AIDS in 2016, there have been at least 48,000 new HIV infections and 38,000 AIDS-related deaths in Indonesia. Based on Surbaya Health Office in 2017, the HIV / AIDS prevalence rate was 934. And this number does not rule out the possibility that there will be other new infections in Surabaya.

Objectives and indicators of success:

– Air Participation Campaign from all academics in the Faculty of Medicine, Airlangga University reaches a minimum of 50 people (can be seen from the installation of twibbon on Instagram)

Methodology:

Internal: Evaluation Meeting with all the committees present at the end of each intervention so things that are still not good will not repeated and can be increased in the next activity. And also dont forget to appreciate the performance of the entire committee.

External: The results of the Forum Group Discussion by the target community, Pre and post test to find out how much increased understanding of the material provided, feedback from the target community and external parties collaborating in the implementation of this activity.

Plans for evaluation:

In the spirit of celebrating World AIDS Day 2018, we held an event called RHAPSODY which stands for Raising Hope and Uplifting Youth on World AIDS Day. The first event we held is LPET 2.0 in which we were educating our members about HIV&AIDS and presenting it to participants that cameWe also had a campaign on social medias throughout December to raise awareness and minimize stigmas about HIV&AIDS. The next event is held on December 1st 2018 during World AIDS Day, we organized a ground campaign in collaboration with PERDOSKI. In this campaign we handed leaflets to guests in the venue and a talk-show with ODHA (Pepople with HIV/AIDS infection) .On December 8th 2018 we held a public intervention in Balai RW Kedungdoro. We educated the participant and also collaborated with Kedungdoro public health center and Fokus Muda to hold VCT for everyone that came.
