While training can have any form, workshops are more formal and also include exchange of information between participants. and Education. Education on health issues for specific societal groups, either in the form of projects (set of tasks for a certain group over a fixed period of time), events (something notable that happens) or conferences (form meeting about ideas related to a particular topic, usually over several days).
General description:
The first day was about giving knowledge to SCORA members and Previx committee about cervical cancer, early pap smear detection, prevention and transmission of cervical cancer and communication by UB FK lecturers. In addition, Training of Trainers was conducted by all SCORA members and PREVIX committees as well as distribution of education groups. The second day, giving knowledge and counseling to productive women in the village with the highest prevalence of cervical cancer by SCORA members and organizers which took place on September 22, 2018 and motivated to conduct early examinations.

Problem statement:
Cervical cancer ranks second from cancer that attacks women in the world and first place for women in developing countries. Cervical cancer can be cured if detected and dealt with early, in fact this cervical cancer can be prevented.
The total number of cervical cancer patients in East Java reached 1,844 cases and Malang City was the largest contributor, 41% of the total cases of cervical cancer in East Java. That number is the highest among 38 regencies and cities in East Java province.

Objectives and indicators of success:
– Provide education about cervical cancer to women of productive age for 1 day
– Provide information about early and Pap smear examinations for 1 day
– Providing communication opportunities for cervical cancer patients and participants for 1 day
– SCORA member upgrading regarding knowledge about cervical cancer and directly involved in prevention intervention for 1 day
– Motivate participants to be willing and brave to do Pap smear
SUCCESS INDICATORS
1. The presence of SCORA members in TOT on the first day was 60% new members, 10 old members, 2 alumni
2. An increase of 30% in the posttest of SCORA members from the pretest
3. At least 10 residents’ houses were visited to be given counseling regarding cervical cancer and the importance of early and Pap smear examinations
4. An increase of 30% in the posttest of citizen from the pretest
5. After counseling, there were residents who were motivated and conducted early Pap smear examinations (proven in the form of data from residents who had pap smears)
Methodology:
– Giving knowledge to PREVIX volunteers, SCORA members, and Previx committee on cervical cancer, early pap smear detection, prevention and transmission of cervical cancer by lecturers
– Providing knowledge and counseling to productive women and their families in the Arjowinangun village by volunteers
Plans for evaluation:
We have conducted a survey before and after the program was carried out about the effectiveness of the activities by conducting several tests to measure participants’ understanding of cervical cancer and by visiting the village again 1 week after the activity to see the progress of the residents conducting the examination
