General description:
CUMIS is an activity that seeks to improve the socio-environmental conditions and quality of life of a vulnerable community through intervention and follow-up with a multidisciplinary approach consisting of primary health care services, education and research.
As SCOME, we have the duty to ensure the academic quality of the ASCEMCOL events, for this reason, through the YouTube channel “ASCEMCOL Academic” we will provide the opportunity to attend 16 video conferences by different local associations and as a medical speaker specialists in the subject to be treated. The assistance will be counted through the post-videoconference tests and the people who attend 70% or more of them will be certified, that is, to 11 or more videoconferences.
Focus area:
Clinical Examination
Problem statement:
In the X version of the Multidisciplinary University Research and Service Camp, a vulnerable population with limited resources will be attended and attended by 500 medical students and other health areas. Due to the great diversity of Colombia both in culture and in prevalent diseases and differences in medical education, there is no way to ensure the prior knowledge for quality care that the population deserves.
Target groups:
General population, Medical students, Healthcare Students, Doctors
Beneficiaries:
General population, Medical students, Healthcare Students, Other Students, Doctors, Other health professionals
Objectives and indicators of success:
Virtual pre-camp training: Through 16 video conferences we expect to teach medical skills for the medical students planning on attend to this event. We will succeed if:
-For every videoconference at the end, we will perform a quick test of 5 questions. If at least 70% of the participants has 3/5 correct answers.
-if for every videoconference we gotter at least 300 medical students.
Methodology:
We have the support of 16 local associations within the ASCEMCOL working on videoconferences, confirming the speakers who will be general practitioners to specialists.
The list of topics are:
Ascaris Lumbricoides
Sign taking
HBP and cardiovascular risks
Metabolic endocrine disorders

Complicated and uncomplicated urinary tract infections
Diarrhea
Lumbago and inflammatory spondyloarthropagy

Plans for evaluation:
We have done a test to the majority of students that make up ASCEMCOL, this test was based on previous knowledge regarding the population and its comorbidities. At the end of each videoconference, the speaker will give us 5 questions regarding the subject, the attendees will be evaluated through a virtual quiz, in this way we can know the impact on knowledge and information provided in the event.
