General description:
Are there places in our society that are silently fraught with danger?
Of course!
This is a transport.
Bus salons, subway cars, escalators – if you are thinking about where to find the most diverse set of microbes, you should definitely look in public transport. Despite the daily (ideally) cleaning, there is literally everything in them.
What to do: The most reasonable move is to keep your hands to yourself.
But it’s not always good to admit, so we came up with the project “Orange bus”. Purpose: – to introduce antiseptics; – hang brochures; – teach drivers and employees of the first aid vehicle fleet; – remind residents of cities / villages about the importance of washing hands frequently.
Focus area:
Health systems as a whole
Problem statement:
Experts of the Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology in the Tyumen Region conducted an experiment where they took special samples from their hands after a trip on the bus, using a regular office keyboard, phone and money.
As a result: hands after a trip in the bus turned out to be dirtier than other objects.
High risk of infection of Staphylococcus hyicus bacteria.
Te total microbial number here is 4.2 × 105 CFU /ml.
Target groups:
General population
Beneficiaries:
General population
Objectives and indicators of success:
We intend to contribute to the reduction of diseases caused by viral bacteria in public transport.
Methodology:
This project is the prevention of multiple viral diseases.
For this, it is necessary to use antiseptic disinfectants in buses and various kinds of information papers for public transport passengers.
This requires sponsorship, or assistance from medical institutions or public health centers.
Plans for evaluation:
We are convinced that the elementary informational content of the public is already a success, and a guarantee that they will know and protect themselves and often wash their hands. The purpose of the “Orange bus” is also to train drivers and products to provide compulsory first aid, which will significantly reduce death and dangerous situations.
