Type of the activity: Capacity Building (Training or Workshop). Teaching and develop knowledge, skills and techniques in a particular field. While training can have any form, workshops are more formal and also include exchange of information between participants.
General description:
This programme has been divided into following sessions-
1. Introduction of BMSS and MAA.
2.Counselling through scientific presentation on menstrual health, raising awareness against wrong beliefs regarding menstrual cycle and Q/A session.
3. Problem solving contests amongst small working groups of students which was guided by a group of volunteers.
4. Concluding speech by chief guest of honour.
After introducing both collaborating organization, scientific presentation started.the anatomy of female reproductive system was clarified as well as normal physiology of menstrual cycle.
Then abnormal menstrual period was discussed in a detailed manner.
Then it was described how to maintain menstrual cycle and keep oneself healthy.
Then social stigma and wrong beliefs regarding menstrual cycle were discussed and how to face them.

Problem statement:
In Bangladesh,the word ‘menstruation’ is nothing but a taboo.Most of the teen having recent menarche pass a really miserable life.They know little about menstrual hygiene,using their pads.Moreover they use clothes insted of sanitary pads during menstruation.This is increasing the incidence of infectious diseases, thus affecting their reproductive health.

Objectives and indicators of success:
Counseling through scientific presentation on menstrual health with the young female student.
Rising awareness against wrong beliefs regarding menstruation.
Open Q/A session for the students to let them know anything about menstrual health and hygiene.
Tell them the importance of using pads and other food habits during menstruation.
Methodology:
Scientific presentation along with conduction of a workshop.Giving them the proper knowledge about Menstruation so that they can implement it to the rest of their life and make others do it.Q/A session for them to answer all their confusions. Giving leaflets to them about the whole workshop.
Plans for evaluation:
We will make a follow up team. They will monitor the girls after every 2 months.
