Type of the activity: Campaign. Combination of education and advocacy. Campaigns create awareness in society about a certain topic (education aspect) and try to funnel this awareness into pressure on the decision makers to adapt policies accordingly (advocacy aspect).
General description:
With our Workshop we aim to assist medicals students gain a wide perspective about LGBTI.To reach our aim, we conduct sociological, historical and scientific sessions with expert speakers. Additionally, with general knowledge workshop, curiosity workshop and case analysis workshops there will be created an interactive learning area and the participants are expected to present their obtained knowledge By this method it is aimed to enhance the perminancy of the obtained knowledge
We plan to share pre, post test and a detailed feedback form to participants to evaluate the activity
With this project, two national workshops,more than one local workshops will be conducted. With this aim, the reached volunteer amount will increase and the outcomes will be more realistic. Addition to these, preparations are being made for informative kits and booklets to be prepared and be presented at the fair
We aim to to increase the sustainability and the field work of this project with IPET trainers

Problem statement:
The mobbing that LGBTIQ face in the community and health services is an undeniable fact. While many LGBTIQs go to hospitals, they cannot express their concerns and health problems as well as other patients because of the attitudes of physicians and health workers. The right to benefit from health services without discrimination or torture is one of the most principle human rights.There are not enough education about LGBTI issues in medical curriculums.

Objectives and indicators of success:
The aim of the project is to encourage doctor candidates to use stigma free language and break any possible homofobia. In addition, it is aimed to find answers to the questions of the participants about LGBTI.
Objectives:
Workshop participants will gain scientific informations about LGBTI through expert academicians during the workshop.
There will be sessions about the history of LGBTI movement. During the peer hour there will be a lot of experience exchange between participants and speaker.
After the workshop, participants are expected to perform a sociological analysis of LGBTI sociologically.
After STIs and Stigmatization session, it is expected that the participants are informed and aware.
In Contemporary Debates / Queer Hour participants are expected to have a basic knowledge of contemporary debates and queer.
The problems experienced by LGBTIs in the field of health, are expected to be discussed in the methods of case analysis with the guidance of the session coordinator and his / her assistant.
Success indicators will be formed by the pre and post test applied to the participants for every individual session with questions prepared with speakers.
Methodology:
With the project, the issue of LGBTI will be evaluated sociologically, historically, peer-related, family-related and scientifically. There are many LGBTI associations and they will enrich the project.

Plans for evaluation:
Within the scope of this project, pre and post evaluation tests for 2nd LGBTI Workshop will be prepared. Survey questions will be determined by the expert facilitator of the session and lastly will be revised by the workshop team and applied to the participants. Participants overall obtained information from this workshop will be understood statistically by the received success rate.
