Important Information
Eligibility criteria for all applicants:
- Be a student of a higher education institution or will not be graduated by more than 6 months by the time their office term starts;
- Be a member of a full or associate National Member Organization that is not in violation of the IFMSA Constitution and Bylaws;
- Be a member of a National Member Organization from the relevant region, when applying to a regional position.
General expected profile for all applicants:
- Professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
- High level of motivation, proactiveness, autonomy and willingness to learn and grow, offer and receive feedback, and self-reflect.
- Interpersonal and communication skills, emotional intelligence and ability to work in a multicultural environment;
- Sense of accountability: readiness to engage with the team, manage follow-up and commit to internal and external deadlines;
- Availability throughout the year (October 1st, 2023 - September 30th 2024) and proper internet connection in order to accomplish tasks and attend online meetings, General Assemblies, Regional Meetings and other meetings when relevant;
- Sufficient understanding and knowledge of IFMSA, including (but not limited to) its structure and the respective working area that candidates are applying for;
- Previous participation in the IFMSA opportunities relevant to the position that candidates are applying for;
- Experience in leadership roles, teamwork and high workload management;
- Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), Google Suite (Drive, Mail, Docs, Sheets, Forms) and basic understanding of social media platforms;
- Awareness and abidance of the Code of Conduct.

How to apply
Kindly go through the available positions for the term 2023/2024, IT/PC/CoCC tasks description and selection criteria. The correct and full name as well as the code of the positions can be found in the list here.
Fill in the documents listed below and submit your candidatures only through this form by the 20th of September, 2023 at 23:59 GMT. Late candidatures will be deemed invalid and will not be considered!
All applicants interested in applying must submit the following:
- You can find the document to fill here.
- Write down your full name, NMO and the position you are applying for (the same exact name as per the list of positions).
- Sign the document and add the correct date and location.
- Send the document in word format to your NMO President and ask them to sign and stamp it; if the candidate is the NMO President, the CF must be signed by a suitable alternative NMO board member.
- Submit the document in the PDF format.

- Write down the data requested and make sure they are correct.
- Provide both the month and the year of your graduation.
- Sign the document and add the correct date and location.
- Convert the document into PDF and submit it.

- You can find the document to fill here. All applications must follow the template with no additional graphics/cover pages.
- It should include:
- Motivation letter: not more than one page long.
- Plan Of Action (POA): not more than two pages long.
- Curriculum Vitae adapted to the position: not more than two pages long.
Proof of information provided in the CV should be available upon request by a National Member Organization.
- Draft your motivation letter, plan of action and CV using Arial (type of font), size 11. Feel free to add any extra headings you see fit but don’t make any changes to the ones written in the template.
- Motivational Letter, Plan of Action, and Curriculum Vitae must not exceed their page limit or the candidature will be invalid.
- Convert the document into PDF. Make sure the watermark and letterhead are there before you submit the document.
National ID cards can be submitted if the applicant doesn’t have a valid passport.

File naming convention
Each of the submitted files should follow a specific naming convention to facilitate the archiving process and make sure that candidatures can be easily accessed. Please avoid letters that are not part of the English language (e.g. Mikołaj becomes Mikolaj).

Checklist
- Go over the webpage carefully. Familiarize yourself with the positions available and the application process.
- Download the templates provided.
- Draft your Application Form: Curriculum Vitae, Motivation Letter and Plan of Action.
- Get your Candidature form (CF) signed and stamped by your NMO President.
- Fill the Technical Data Card (TDC).
- Fill the Google form and attach all the required documents.

Important Notes
- The positions for the EMR Regional Team 2023/24 have been opened in this 2nd call after the appointment of the Regional Director ad interim.
- When the call has finished, the Executive Board Elect will review the validity of all candidatures. Afterwards, the list will be shared with the NMOs. Importantly, there will be a differentiation between the candidates who can swiftly re-submit their documents to have their candidature validated (minor mistakes) and those who cannot.
- For each position, a shortlist of candidates will be created by the Official(s) opening it. Candidates who are shortlisted will be contacted by email in order for them to schedule an online interview.
- When the call has finished, the Executive Board Elect will review the validity of all candidatures. Afterwards, the list will be shared with the NMOs. Importantly, there will be a differentiation between the candidates who can swiftly re-submit their documents to have their candidature validated (minor mistakes) and those who cannot.
