Celebrating Global Health Advocates: The IFMSA Changemaker Scholarship

The International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations (IFMSA) is thrilled to announce the recipients of this year’s Changemaker Scholarship, supported by ScholarRx. 

ScholarRx, a leader in providing accessible and sustainable medical education solutions to medical schools worldwide, has partnered with IFMSA to reduce financial barriers for medical students, making it possible for four outstanding individuals to participate in the Youth Pre-World Health Assembly (PreWHA).

The Changemaker Scholarship is a vital initiative that aligns with IFMSA’s mission to empower young health advocates. This scholarship enables passionate medical students to actively engage in global health governance, develop critical advocacy skills, and gain essential knowledge that will shape their careers and impact the future of healthcare worldwide. Through this program, students are prepared to participate meaningfully in the World Health Assembly (WHA), where global health policies are crafted and debated.

The Youth PreWHA is more than just a preparatory event; it is a transformative experience. Recipients of the Changemaker Scholarship attend workshops and events featuring high-level speakers, offering them a unique opportunity to develop leadership skills, engage in meaningful discussions, and network with peers and professionals from across the globe. This exposure is invaluable, as it equips participants with the tools and insights needed to become effective advocates in their home countries and on the global stage.
