With the current loss of the union between psychiatry and psychotherapy, which existed at the beginning of the emergence of this science, there is a need for them to be complementary again, so doctors and medical students need to understand the human psyche, the factors that influence it and how psychotherapy acts so that when they attend a psychiatric patient, they perform a mixed approach of the biological, psychological, pathological, social, spiritual and psychopharmacological fields. It is hoped that with the realization of this project, there will be a reduction of psychiatric disorders and psychiatric disorders in the medical student due to the self-reflection that the understanding of human thought will provide from that course, in addition, to provide a broader view regarding the patients who will be assisted in future by these professionals, regardless of the area chosen for the performance, and that, with due preparation, will provide a higher aid than he would have if he had learned only the basics about psychiatry / psychology.
