General description:
The project in question aims to guide students about the autistic spectrum and its forms of presentation, aiming at the knowledge of those present regarding the the conditions of the referred disorder, conditions characterized by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech and non-verbal communication, as well as as by unique forces and differences. During the lectures, a broad approach, by professional experts, which includes genetic vision, psychiatric, psychological and educational aspects of autism, with a
based in a scientific way, but also emphasizing the clinical practice. At the end of
each lecture will open time for discussions and doubts. Disclosure will be made
through social media (Facebook, Instagram and Whatsapp, Banner in the
Facimed), the event will have entries from 07/03/2018 at 07:30 and will end soon of the event, 04/14/2018, at 18:30. The event will last four hours and will feature the lectures and coffe break.

Problem statement:
Defined by the classification of mental and behavioral disorders as being a
invasive developmental disorder with manifestation of abnormal development
and / or compromised that manifests itself before the age of 3 years and by the characteristic of abnormal functioning in all three areas of social interaction, communication and restricted and repetitive behavior, occurring three to four times more in males. Autism is still a challenge for caregivers, educators and
health professionals, with causes not yet defined with specificity, as well as
not completely delimited as to their unique presentation in the carriers. By understanding the factors of predisposition, it is possible to define therapies and provide information about the prognosis and risk of recurrence, with better diagnostic accuracy and counseling gene for the parents of an autistic child. Establishing good contact with parents is a excellent way of starting a more careful investigation, since in its the vast majority, it is they who recognize the first symptoms of ASD in children during their first two years of life, these symptoms related to the interaction social, language difficulties, repetitive behaviors, choice of toys atypical, rituals.
Target groups and beneficiaries:
Students, Parents from ASD children, Teachers.
Objectives and indicators of success:
• Clarify to students that the autistic spectrum presents a broad manifestation, in an idiosyncratic way;
• Know the prevalence of autism in the population;
• Demonstrate the importance of knowing the disorder for better clinical practice
° To know ways of social inclusion for people with ASD
° Understanding neuronal functioning in autism
Understanding the psychological presentation of the disease
° Learn basic guidelines to guide parents and / or individuals who are in contact with an ASD carrier
Methodology:
On 07/03/2018 we will begin the inscriptions of the Symposium on Psychiatry
Doctor / Student ending on 04/14/2018. Four medical academics
will help in the preparation of the symposium. The announcement will be made through a banner in the college and social networks. On 04/14/2018 at 6:30 pm in the Faculty of Sciences Biomedical Sciences of Cacoal – FACIMED we will begin the “Symposium of neurosciences – Autism, a word, not a sentence “, being in the first moment the opening and the solemnity, which will last 15 minutes. At 18:45 we will start the first lecture with the theme “Diagnosis and treatment”, performed by the psychiatrist Humberto Müller, 50 minutes, and a moment of questions will be opened by the with a maximum time of 10 minutes. At 7:45 p.m., we will start the second lecture with the theme “The link between genetics and TEA” by the Pediatrics and Medical Genetics Francis Galera. In the same way, space will be doubts, totaling an additional 1 hour. At 8:45 a coffee break will be held break, with a return scheduled for 21:15, for the talk entitled “Psychological support and resistance to diagnosis “performed by the
psychologist specialist in clinical psychology and mental health Michelle Romão, lasting 50 minutes and 10 minutes for doubts about the subject. At 22:15 the symposium will be closed.
Plans for evaluation:
An online form will be available on the medical school website, with questions about thetopics covered, as well as satisfaction with the symposium, that focus of a feedback on the results obtained.
