The AMEE Student Initiative Grant

AMEE is grateful because in 2019 ScholarRx decided to support the AMEE Student Initiatives Grant by making an annual contribution of £4000. With the past AMEE award, consistent of £2000, this makes £6000 available per year to be attributed as described below.

  • There will be one round each year
  • We will award four contributions with up to £750 each year to be spent on the projects’ expenses. Over the last years, funds allocated have ranged from £500-£750.  Any remaining money will complete funding explained in bullet 4 below.
  • The four Winning Projects receive half of the grant before the start of the projects with the other half being attributed after successful evaluation of the respective ‘Implementation Report’.
  • The winning projects will be re rated after implementation according to the evaluation results and an overall winning project will be announced
  • £3000 will be used towards the Overall Winning Project (based on the evaluation of the four Implementation Reports) to cover the registration, travel and accommodation costs of the project team to attend the AMEE Annual Conference, where they are invited to present their project.
  • The 4 Winner projects are invited to present their work at the AMEE Annual Conference, in a Short Communication or Poster Session
  • Future scheduling of this initiative is described below
  • A certificate of achievement from AMEE recognizing the Grant winners and appreciating their efforts in contribution to the development of the field of medical education.

Applications will be judged based on criteria described above. Please refer to the short ‘tips’ document, here that we created to help you with your application.
