General description:

1- Establish starting point and gaps:
By preparation of pre-questionaire to target groups in order to prepare the most relevantcontent concerning the project.
2- Capacity and team building by:
i. National TOT: Core training for members from IFMSA-Egypt.
ii. Local trainings: Conducted by trainees in each LC.
iii. Counselling sessions: to Teachers in school, to be sustainable source of information furthermore.
3- School Sessions:
i. For students in the target group (Middle and high school students)
ii. For Teachers, for sustainability
4. Analysis of success indicators.

Focus area:

Peer Education with adolescents and young people on a variety of topics pertaining to Sexual Health

Problem statement:

Believing in the adolescents’ right to have the appropriate information from trusted sources about the period they are going through, and from the complete absence from our society came this project.

Target groups and beneficiaries:

Middle and High School students, along with their caregivers and teachers

Objectives and indicators of success:

– School sessions about topics related to the above topic as (hygiene, masturbation, virginity.. etc)
– Sessions to Caregivers and Teachers about how to deal with this particular age group, and how to respond to FAQ that they know the answer to, and how to respond if they do not know the answer.

Methodology:

– Establish start point by pre-questionnaires to know what are the basic knowledge they know
– Capacity and team building by National, and then local trainings to create a database of trainers.
– School Sessions to both students and teachers conveying the content we worked on in the trainings
– Finding a well known partner to help us with financial sides of the project.

Plans for evaluation:

– No. of questionnaires given out and filled.
– Number of applying, attending, and drop out trainees in trainings
– Trainees assessment in trainings by direct observation,
pre and post- test, along with simulations.
– Number of schools, students, and teachers reached.
– Assessment of awareness given by direct observation, and quick Q&A method.
– Numbers of interested parties.
